Overview :

The StarTech SV565UTPU is a high-performance KVM extender designed to provide remote access to a PC, server, or KVM switch from up to 500 feet (150 meters) away. It solves the challenge of managing hardware located in harsh, loud, or secure environments by allowing the user to operate the system using a standard USB keyboard, USB mouse, and VGA monitor via a single Cat5 or Cat6 RJ-45 cable.

This extender kit consists of two units: a Local transmitter and a Remote receiver. A unique feature of the SV565UTPU is its support for a dual-console configuration, allowing a workstation to be connected at the local site as well as the remote site. This is ideal for administrators who need to perform maintenance directly at the server rack while still maintaining the primary control station in a separate office. The system includes a manual gain control dial on the remote unit to adjust signal brightness and clarity, compensating for different cable lengths and potential interference.

Optimized for manufacturing floors, server rooms, and secure data centers, the SV565UTPU is OS-independent and requires no software installation. It is not recommended for high-resolution digital video applications requiring HDMI or DisplayPort, nor for environments where the existing network infrastructure uses active switches or routers between the local and remote units, as it requires a dedicated point-to-point connection.
