Overview :
The Logitech K585 Slim Multi-Device keyboard is a wireless access tool designed for modern, multi-device workflows in business and home office environments. It directly addresses the inefficiency of switching between a computer, tablet, and smartphone by unifying input control. This keyboard allows a user to seamlessly type on a primary computer and then, with the press of a button, switch to typing a message on a paired smartphone, streamlining tasks and reducing workspace clutter. At its core, the keyboard leverages two key technologies for versatile operation: a 2.4 GHz USB Unifying receiver for a robust, secure connection to a primary PC or Mac, and Bluetooth LE for easy pairing with mobile devices. This dual-connectivity is managed by Logitech’s Easy-Switch buttons, which allow for instantaneous toggling between two paired devices. This functionality eliminates the need for multiple keyboards and consolidates control, improving focus and productivity for professionals who regularly multitask across different platforms. Engineered for efficiency in contemporary workspaces, the K585 features an ultra-slim, compact profile that includes a full numeric keypad without occupying excessive desk space. Its physical design incorporates a built-in cradle to hold a smartphone at a convenient viewing angle, further enhancing its utility as a central workstation hub. Management is straightforward, with a plug-and-play setup for both connectivity options and an auto-sleep feature to conserve battery life.
