Overview :

The Oracle 380-1613 is an internal LTO-4 (Linear Tape-Open) tape drive designed for archival and long-term data storage within legacy Oracle/Sun server environments. Utilizing the LTO-4 Ultrium generation, it provides a native capacity of 800GB per cartridge, with hardware compression enabling up to 1.6TB of storage capacity.

This drive is a half-height (HH) SAS-interface unit, frequently utilized as a replacement or upgrade component for legacy Sun Fire and Oracle rack-mount systems. It features a transfer rate of 75MB/s and is engineered for high-reliability sequential data writing, making it suitable for off-line backups and archival compliance requirements.

As a legacy storage component, it is compatible with standard SAS internal drive bays. It is not suitable for modern high-speed production storage environments, but remains a critical spare for maintaining existing backup infrastructure that relies on LTO-4 media standards.
