Overview

The APC NBWS100H is a compact wireless temperature and humidity sensor designed to integrate with APC’s NetBotz environmental monitoring systems for IT facilities, server rooms, and network closets. It provides real‑time environmental telemetry without requiring wired sensor runs, helping operations teams maintain equipment‑safe conditions.

This sensor communicates over a wireless mesh protocol (ZigbeePro 2.4 GHz) via a NetBotz wireless coordinator or router (e.g., NBWC100U), enabling placement flexibility and elimination of extensive cabling in dense racks or facilities. Up to 47 wireless sensors can be supported per NetBotz appliance, allowing broad environmental coverage within a localized area.

Physically, it is ultra‑compact and low‑profile (≈38 × 38 × 19 mm) with a lightweight housing ideal for wall or rack‑adjacent installation in spaces where wired cabling is impractical. Local LED status indicators simplify commissioning and operational verification.

Environmental sensing includes ambient temperature and relative humidity with typical measurement accuracy suitable for early detection of HVAC issues or moisture anomalies that can affect hardware reliability. This sensor feeds data into the host NetBotz appliance for centralized monitoring, logging, and alerting.

It is not a standalone controller and requires a compatible APC NetBotz base unit and wireless coordinator to function; it does not directly actuate cooling or alert systems without integration
