Overview

The APC ACDC2517 is a structural adapter used in APC’s NetShelter aisle‑containment systems. It allows you to convert a 42U VX rack into a 48U SX profile by extending its height by 600 mm. This is especially helpful when your containment ceiling or ductwork requires a taller frame, but the existing rack is only 42U VX. By using this adapter, you maintain the thermal barrier in your hot/cold aisle design without needing to replace the entire rack. It supports containment integrity and makes retrofitting easier.
