Jabra 28599-989-889 Binaural Over-Ear Wireless Headset
Overview
The Jabra 28599-989-889 is an enterprise-grade, over-the-ear wireless headset designed for deep concentration and reliable communication within high-density corporate environments, dynamic open offices, and remote command centers. Deployed primarily by enterprise IT procurement teams for executives, knowledge professionals, and collaborative operators, it addresses the challenges of extreme ambient noise distraction, speech clarity over remote servers, and battery depletion during extensive work shifts. The full-size, circumaural design isolates the user physically while maintaining an analytical acoustic workspace.
Powered by an advanced digital chipset architecture, this headset incorporates Digital Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), using internal and external microphones to suppress up to 54% more surrounding environmental sound. The audio payload is handled via leak-tolerant 40mm speakers supporting the AAC high-resolution codec, coupled with an integrated 10-microphone array. This includes a discrete hideaway boom arm that deploys 4 microphones for high-density voice isolation and retracts into the earcup shell to trigger 6 integrated casual microphones.A 360-degree prominent busylight illuminates red from all vantage points to physically block local workspace interruptions.
This hardware endpoints infrastructure integrates natively into centralized remote administration software through Jabra Direct and Jabra Xpress frameworks. This allows enterprise network administrators to manage asset deployments, roll out secure cryptographic firmware updates, and perform inventory monitoring across multi-tenant facilities. The unit ships bundled with a matching desktop charging stand and a pre-paired Link 380c USB-C Bluetooth adapter, allowing rapid out-of-the-box initialization for fixed executive desks or shared hot-desking setups.
The system is fully Unified Communications (UC) certified, ensuring absolute plug-and-play validation across leading VoIP platforms, including Cisco, Mitel, Avaya, and Zoom interfaces. It should not be deployed in facilities requiring light, non-isolated on-ear frameworks or where legacy host systems strictly demand direct analog or USB-A interfaces without adaptive distribution adapters. The host system or workspace power source must provide a standard 5V USB connection to maintain charging terminal functionality.
