Overview :

The StarTech IH2006-HDMI-RX is a high-performance HDMI over IP receiver designed to work as part of a scalable video distribution system. It is utilized by AV integrators, IT managers, and digital signage professionals to create large-scale "one-to-many" or "many-to-many" video wall and signal distribution setups over a standard Gigabit Local Area Network (LAN).

Technically, this unit acts as the destination point for a video stream initiated by the IH2006-HDMI-TX transmitter. It utilizes advanced H.264/H.265 compression to deliver ultra-high-definition 4K video at 60Hz while maintaining low bandwidth requirements, making it compatible with existing network infrastructure. The receiver supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing it to be powered directly through the network cable from a PoE-enabled switch, which eliminates the need for localized power outlets at the display site. It also features a built-in video wall controller, enabling users to stitch multiple receivers together to form expansive multi-screen displays.

Deployment is highly scalable; by adding more receiver units, a network can be expanded to hundreds of displays. The system can be managed via a web-based UI or a dedicated mobile app, allowing for seamless switching between different sources and centralized control of the entire video matrix. With integrated RS-232 and IR pass-through, the receiver also enables the remote control of the display device from the transmitter location.
