Overview :

The VS321HDBTK is a specialized HDBaseT extender kit featuring an integrated 3-port HDMI switch, designed for professional AV distribution in boardrooms, classrooms, and digital signage environments. It eliminates the need for a separate switcher and extender by allowing users to connect three distinct HDMI sources to a single transmitter, which then broadcasts the selected signal to a remote display via a single Cat5e/6 cable.

Technically, the system leverages HDBaseT technology to transmit uncompressed 4K 30Hz video up to 115 feet (35 meters) or 1080p video up to 230 feet (70 meters). It offers intelligent switching logic, including auto-detect for newly connected devices and priority-based switching to ensure the primary source is always active. For professional integration, the kit supports serial control via an included RJ11-to-DB9 adapter, as well as an IR remote for manual selection.

The hardware is designed for flexible installation, featuring Power-over-Cable (PoC) which allows a single power adapter at either the transmitter or receiver end to power both units. Encased in a durable metal housing with integrated grounding bolts and mounting brackets, it is built for reliability in high-traffic commercial settings. It is a point-to-point solution and should not be routed through standard network switches or routers.
