Overview :

The StarTech VS424HDPIP is a high-performance 4-input, 4-output HDMI matrix switch engineered for command-and-control centers, high-end boardrooms, and digital signage applications. This unit provides the flexibility to route any of the four HDMI video sources to any of the four connected displays independently, or to combine them into sophisticated multiviewer layouts on a single screen.

Technically, the switch supports 1080p high-definition resolution and features an integrated video processor that enables Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-and-Picture (PAP) modes. It allows for the creation of 2x2 video walls or custom windowing, where multiple sources are displayed simultaneously on a single output. The unit ensures seamless switching between sources, eliminating the delay or "blanking" typically associated with standard HDMI handshakes during transitions.

Control and management are handled via the front-panel tactile buttons, the included IR remote, or through the RS-232 serial and RJ-45 Ethernet ports for advanced automation system integration.
