Overview :

The ST121HDBTE is a professional-grade HDMI over CAT5e/CAT6 extender kit utilizing HDBaseT technology to deliver uncompressed video and audio to remote displays. It solves the distance limitations of standard HDMI cabling by extending 4K UHD signals up to 115 feet (35 meters) and 1080p HD signals up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a single Ethernet cable. This kit is engineered for data centers, command centers, and digital signage where high-resolution video must be transmitted through existing network infrastructure.

Technically, the system supports HDMI 1.4 features, including 4K at 30Hz, 3D video, and 7.1 digital audio. A critical feature is Power-over-Cable (PoC), which allows the entire extender kit to be powered from a single power adapter located at either the transmitter or receiver end. This simplifies deployment in areas where power outlets are limited at the display side. The extender also includes bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through, enabling remote control of the source device or the display from either end of the connection.

The hardware includes mounting brackets for secure installation in equipment racks or behind displays. It is a point-to-point solution and is not designed to operate through network switches or routers. To ensure maximum performance and EMI protection, shielded Cat6 (STP) cabling is recommended for all deployments.
