The Eaton Tripp Lite B126-2P2M-POC is a 2-Port HDMI over Cat5/Cat6 Extender Kit designed to reliably transmit high-definition audio and video signals over longer distances than conventional HDMI cables permit. This kit, comprising a two-port transmitter and two compact receivers, is ideally suited for diverse environments such as digital signage, educational institutions, retail spaces, and corporate offices where source devices are remotely located from displays. Utilizing standard Cat5e/6/6a cabling, the B126-2P2M-POC extends a 1080p (60 Hz) signal up to 50 feet (15.2 meters) and a 1080i signal up to 100 feet (30.5 meters). A significant technical advantage is its integrated Power over Cable (PoC) technology, which powers the receivers via the Cat5/6 cable itself, eliminating the need for separate power adapters at the display end. Beyond crisp video, the system supports rich 7.1-channel surround sound audio (multi-channel or PCM), alongside 3D and HDCP standards, ensuring a comprehensive media experience. For deployment, the box-style transmitter unit can be conveniently mounted to a wall, rack, or pole using the included hardware, providing flexible installation options.
