Overview :

The StarTech SATSASDUPE11 is a standalone 1:1 hard drive duplicator and eraser designed for IT professionals managing storage assets in data centers, system build labs, and enterprise environments. It enables direct duplication or secure erasure of 2.5″ and 3.5″ SATA and SAS HDDs/SSDs without a host PC, streamlining imaging and sanitization workflows.

This unit supports multiple duplication modes (including sector-by-sector and system/file copy) and offers advanced erase options such as Quick Erase, Secure Erase, and multi-pass overwrites (including DoD and NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 compliant methods), addressing compliance and data privacy requirements for repurposing or decommissioning drives.

Deployment is simple with push-button navigation and an LCD menu display. The built-in RS-232 port enables logging to a serial printer for audit trails. It is not suitable for real-time network backups or software-controlled imaging workflows where a host computer is required.
