TRENDnet TPE-TG160H 16-Port Unmanaged PoE+ Switch
Overview
The TRENDnet TPE-TG160H is an unmanaged Gigabit PoE+ switch engineered for reliable, high-speed network connectivity in small to medium-sized business environments. It is specifically designed to serve as a central power and data hub for devices such as wireless access points, VoIP phones, and IP cameras. The primary value of this switch is its ability to eliminate the need for separate power supplies for each connected device, significantly simplifying installation and reducing cable complexity in any network deployment. At its core, the TPE-TG160H features a 123W total PoE power budget, capable of supplying up to 30W of power per port to any of its 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports. A key operational advantage is its fanless design, which ensures completely silent operation. This makes it an excellent choice for installation in noise-sensitive locations like open offices, conference rooms, or retail spaces where distracting equipment sounds are undesirable. The switch's durable metal housing further guarantees its longevity in a professional setting. Deployment is exceptionally straightforward due to the switch's plug-and-play nature, which requires no software configuration or technical setup. Its versatile form factor allows for either desktop placement or installation into a standard 1U 19-inch network rack, providing essential flexibility for various IT environments. This unmanaged switch seamlessly integrates into an existing infrastructure, automatically detecting connected devices to deliver the appropriate speed and power for optimal, hassle-free performance.
