Detailed Specifications
TRENDnet TPE-30284 28-Port GigE PoE+ 10G L2+ Switch
Overview :
The TRENDnet TPE-30284 is a high-performance, web-smart managed PoE+ switch designed for modern small to medium-sized business (SMB) networks. This Layer 2+ switch provides a robust foundation for networks requiring reliable power for devices like IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points, while also supporting high-speed uplink connections. It effectively addresses the need for network segmentation, traffic prioritization, and scalable connectivity in a single, rack-mountable unit. Engineered for flexibility and performance, the switch features a 128Gbps switching capacity to handle significant traffic loads without creating bottlenecks. Its L2+ capabilities include static routing, which allows for routing traffic between different VLANs directly on the switch, thereby offloading this function from the router and improving overall network efficiency. This combination of Gigabit PoE+ ports and 10G SFP+ uplinks makes it a cost-effective solution for SMBs looking to upgrade their network infrastructure to support more devices and higher bandwidth demands. Designed for straightforward implementation, the TPE-30284 fits into a standard 19-inch rack with its 1U form factor. Management is handled through an intuitive web-based interface, providing administrators with granular control over network traffic and security. Features such as Access Control Lists (ACL), VLANs, and Quality of Service (QoS) allow for precise traffic management and segmentation, ensuring that critical applications receive the necessary bandwidth and priority.
