Overview
The ASUS ROG Strix XG49VQ is a 49-inch super-ultrawide gaming monitor designed for immersive gaming, multitasking, and wide-screen desktop workflows. Its 32:9 aspect ratio and 3840 × 1080 resolution provide the horizontal workspace of two Full HD displays positioned side by side, without a central bezel.
The VA panel features 1800R curvature, a maximum 144Hz refresh rate, a 4ms gray-to-gray response time, and a typical 3000:1 contrast ratio. HDR10 support and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification enable compatible HDR content, while 90% DCI-P3 color coverage supports a broad color range. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Adaptive-Sync help reduce screen tearing with compatible graphics hardware.
Gaming features include ASUS Shadow Boost for visibility in darker scenes, GamePlus overlays, GameVisual display presets, and GameFast Input technology. DisplayPort 1.2, dual HDMI 2.0 inputs, a USB hub, and integrated stereo speakers support gaming and everyday desktop use.

Product Note
The XG49VQ has a 3840 × 1080 resolution, not 5120 × 1440. Its expansive 32:9 screen is useful for supported games, side-by-side applications, and wide timelines, but the relatively low vertical resolution may be less suitable for users who prioritize fine text detail or high-resolution creative work. To achieve 144Hz, verify the graphics card, selected input, cable, and display configuration. USB hub operation requires the appropriate upstream connection. Confirm regional warranty coverage and included accessories with the seller.
