The HP 684429-001 is a 1U rack-mountable Fibre Channel switch designed for storage area network (SAN) environments, enabling engineers to deploy or expand high-speed SAN fabrics with minimal footprint. It offers up to 24 active ports supporting 4, 8 or 16 Gb/s speeds, allowing storage and server teams to interconnect HCIA/HCI, virtualization, or backup systems at enterprise-grade bandwidth. It is well suited to campus data centres, branch-to-data-centre links or edge-SAN expansions where high port density and Fibre Channel transparency are required. Designed to integrate with HPE B-series Fabric OS management tools (Web Tools, SAN Network Advisor) it supports non-disruptive upgrades and advanced fabric services for ongoing operational management.
