The Eaton Tripp Lite Series N820-10M-OM5 is a 10-meter (32.8-foot) pre-terminated OM5 Wide Band Multimode Fiber (WBMMF) optic patch cable, engineered for IT professionals, data center administrators, and enterprise network engineers. It solves high-bandwidth capacity bottlenecks and cabling congestion over extended distances in high-density data centers by supporting Short Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) over a single duplex fiber pair, multiplying transmission capacity without requiring additional fiber strands.
It supports high-speed 10Gb, 40Gb, 100Gb, and 400Gb Ethernet applications across a wider wavelength range (850nm to 953nm), enabling longer reach for SWDM transceivers compared to traditional OM4 fiber. Built with a low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) lime green jacket for immediate visual identification as OM5 infrastructure, it limits toxic smoke emissions in poorly ventilated areas and prevents cross-contamination with legacy OM3/OM4 cabling.
Optimized for deployment in modern enterprise data centers, SWDM4-enabled server arrays, SAN networks, and long-run intermediate distribution frame (IDF) backbone connections.
