Eaton U420F-10M-V Tripp Lite 4K60Hz USB C Fiber Optic Cable
Overview
The Eaton U420F-10M-V Tripp Lite Fiber Active Optical Cable (AOC) provides a robust solution for extending high-resolution 4K video signals over distances up to 10 meters (33 feet) where traditional copper cables may fall short. Engineered for demanding audiovisual environments, this USB-C to USB-C cable is specifically designed to transmit crystal-clear 4K Ultra HD video at 60Hz, making it ideal for large conference rooms, digital signage installations, and sophisticated home theater systems. It effectively overcomes the inherent distance limitations of standard copper wiring, ensuring signal integrity without latency or loss for critical visual applications. Leveraging advanced active optical technology, the U420F-10M-V supports a full spectrum of video enhancements, including High Dynamic Range (HDR) for superior contrast and expanded color accuracy, and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for vibrant, lifelike images. This ensures that the visual output from devices such as MacBooks, Windows laptops, and media servers is rendered with exceptional clarity and detail on connected 4K displays, monitors, or projectors. Furthermore, the cable is HDCP 2.2 compliant, guaranteeing seamless streaming of protected 4K content from various sources, without compatibility issues. It is important to note that this cable is optimized solely for video transmission and does not support data transfer or device charging. Designed for versatile deployment, this 10-meter fiber optic cable features a plenum-rated (CMP) jacket, making it suitable for safe installation within air ducts, drop ceilings, and walls in commercial or residential premises. Its slimmer, more flexible construction compared to bulky copper alternatives simplifies routing around corners and through tight spaces, facilitating cleaner and more efficient installations. The U420F-10M-V draws all necessary power directly from the connected source device, eliminating the need for external power adapters and streamlining setup. This characteristic, combined with its specialized video-only functionality, makes it a targeted solution for dedicated high-definition video distribution.
