The Xerox 497K22670 is a 1 Line Fax Kit, an internal fax interface card designed to add fax functionality to select Xerox AltaLink and EC8000 Series multifunction printers . It is intended for IT administrators and office managers needing to enable fax transmission from compatible AltaLink devices . The card allows users to transmit documents over standard telephone lines via an RJ-11 connection, supporting the sending and receiving of multiple faxes simultaneously . It resolves the need for a dedicated fax machine by integrating the function directly into the MFP workflow. Deployment is internal, requiring installation into the designated slot of compatible AltaLink B8100/B8200 and C8100/C8200 Series, as well as EC8000 Series printers . This kit is not compatible with printers outside the specified AltaLink and EC8000 product families .
