Overview

The APC SRT96RMBP is a 96 V, 2U rack-mount external battery pack engineered to extend runtimes for APC Smart-UPS On-Line SRT 3 kVA units. It gives IT environments flexible power continuity during extended outages. Equipped with hot-swappable VRLA battery modules, it enables servicing or replacement without interrupting connected loads. The internal battery management system monitors health at the cell, module, and cabinet level, providing precise runtime estimates and status visibility.In real deployments, this pack is chained to the UPS to multiply runtime under typical IT loads (e.g. servers, storage, network). It fits standard 19″ racks, maintaining a compact footprint even in dense rack environments. Because the battery pack is modular and replaceable, it’s well suited for edge, data center, or high-availability rack designs requiring scalable backup power.This battery pack is ideal when you need more runtime than the UPS' internal battery can provide, but don’t want to oversize a UPS. Use the SRT96RMBP to sustain critical systems while power is restored, scaling by adding up to 10 battery packs in series (if your UPS supports it).
