This unit supports HDMI video up to 1080p @ 60 Hz and can transmit signals over Cat5e/6 cable up to roughly 150 ft (45 m) at 1080p and up to 200 ft (61 m) for 1080i when solid 24 AWG cabling is used. Built-in equalization adjusts the video signal to compensate for cable loss, and the receiver supports both stereo and 7.1-channel surround audio when paired with an appropriate transmitter.
Physically compact and typically wall-, rack-, or pole-mountable, the B126-1A0 is suited for use in network equipment racks, kiosks, digital signage installations, classrooms, and control rooms where HDMI source and display are separated by structured cable pathways. This device should not be used as a standalone HDMI distribution solution × it requires a dedicated B126-series transmitter and structured cabling plant. It also does not support resolutions above 1080p over standard Category cable, so installations requiring 4K or higher resolutions should use higher-spec extenders designed for those bandwidths.
