Overview

The StarTech ST121HDBTPW is a professional-grade HDMI extender kit consisting of a wall-plate transmitter and a compact receiver. Utilizing HDBaseT technology, it enables the extension of 4K video and audio signals over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable, providing a clean, permanent installation for boardrooms, classrooms, and lecture halls.

This solution solves the distance limitations of standard HDMI cabling by supporting distances up to 230 feet (70 meters). The system simplifies deployment through Power-over-Cable (PoC) technology, allowing the entire kit to be powered from a single power source at the transmitter side, eliminating the need for an outlet at the remote display location.

This kit is optimized for architectural integration into standard single-gang North American wall boxes. It is not recommended for use with shielded cables that have poor grounding or in environments with extreme electromagnetic interference without high-quality Cat6 STP cabling.
