Overview
The StarTech ST124HDBT is a 1-to-3 HDBaseT HDMI extender kit that distributes one HDMI source to three remote displays using standard Cat5e/Cat6/Cat7 cabling. It's engineered for corporate AV, digital signage, classrooms, retail, and hospitality installations where multiple distant screens must mirror a high-definition source without separate switchers.
The kit includes one transmitter with a local HDMI output and three HDBaseT receivers, enabling distribution of 4K UHD video (up to 4096×2160 at 30 Hz) up to ~35 m (115 ft) and 1080p up to ~70 m (230 ft). HDBaseT technology carries uncompressed video and audio over a single twisted pair cable and supports IR extension for remote control.
Deployment is point-to-point with receivers at display endpoints and a transmitter near the video source. It's suitable for AV racks, wall mounts, or ceiling installations requiring long-reach HDMI distribution. Not suitable for multi-endpoint IP network AV distribution or HDMI matrix switching without conversion infrastructure.
