Overview

The StarTech 4K7014IC-EXTEND-HDMI is a professional AV distribution extender and splitter kit that extends and replicates one HDMI video source to up to four remote displays using Cat6/Cat6a cabling over distances up to 70 m (230 ft). It is designed for boardrooms, digital signage, education facilities, retail, and hospitality installations requiring centralized HDMI 4K signal distribution without active switching hardware.

The kit includes one transmitter with a local HDMI output and four remote receivers, all powered via a single transmitter power adapter over the Ethernet cables. It supports 4K 60 Hz HDMI with 2‑channel audio and bidirectional IR extension for remote control of the source device from any receiver. Plug‑and‑play deployment requires no additional drivers or network configuration beyond direct Cat6/6a cable runs between transmitter and receivers.

Deployment is ideal when consistent, long‑reach HDMI distribution with minimal infrastructure and power points is needed. It is not suitable where standard IP network switching or unmanaged Ethernet infrastructure must carry the signal — proprietary point‑to‑point links are required.
