The StarTech F35023-USB-EXTENDER is a point-to-point USB 3.2 Gen 1 extender designed to transmit high-speed USB signals over OM3 multimode fiber. It is typically deployed in industrial environments, surveillance systems, and enterprise setups where USB devices must operate far beyond standard cable limits.

It supports data transfer rates up to 5Gbps and extends connectivity up to 350 meters using LC-LC fiber. The remote unit provides two USB-A ports, enabling connection of peripherals such as cameras, storage devices, POS systems, and industrial controllers.

This extender is suited for EMI-sensitive environments where copper cabling fails, as fiber eliminates electromagnetic interference. It is commonly installed in control rooms, factory floors, and campus deployments requiring stable long-distance USB communication.
