The Eaton 9PXEBM48RT-L is a high-capacity external battery module built for rack and tower configurations, designed to work in conjunction with compatible Eaton 9PX Li-ion UPS systems to extend backup runtime without increasing the inverter size. The module operates at 48 V DC and uses lithium-ion battery technology—offering a more compact form factor and longer lifecycle versus traditional lead-acid modules. It mounts in a standard 19″ rack (1 U height) or in tower orientation using the included stands, providing installation flexibility in dense IT closets, rack-mount server rooms and edge-data locations.In practical deployment, you’d pair this EBM with a 9PX1500RT-L, 9PX1500RTN-L or 9PX1500GRT-L UPS to scale runtime for critical loads—such as network switches, servers or storage—that require longer hold-up time during power interruptions, maintenance or generator switchover. The module supports daisy-chain installation of up to four matching modules, allowing incremental runtime scaling while preserving the UPS footprint.
