Overview

The Eaton BP48RT2UTAA is a 48V DC Extended Battery Module (EBM) designed for Eaton SmartOnline UPS systems. It is used to extend runtime for compatible 1.5–3 kVA double-conversion UPS units in enterprise, healthcare, education, and government IT environments where uptime continuity is critical.

This module connects directly to supported UPS models such as the SU1500RTXLCD2UTAA, enabling scalable battery runtime expansion and optional daisy-chaining of multiple EBMs for longer backup duration.

It is built as a 2U rackmount or tower-convertible enclosure, allowing flexible deployment in standard 19-inch racks or vertical installations. The system uses sealed VRLA lead-acid batteries with hot-swappable architecture for maintenance without powering down the UPS.

This unit is not a standalone power source—it only operates with a compatible SmartOnline UPS.
