Overview   

The HPE R0X31A is a dedicated management module intended for the Aruba CX 6400 family of modular chassis switches (such as the CX 6405 or CX 6410). If you’re deploying a CX 6400-series chassis and need the central management/control element to run the chassis backplane, monitor line-cards, fan trays and PSUs, this module is the required insert. It provides the “brain” of the switch chassis: handling chassis-level firmware, management interface, system monitoring and control. With this module installed, you gain full chassis-management visibility and control across all line-cards and subsystems in the 6400 platform.This is essential if you are managing a compact modular switch in an access aggregation wiring room or data-centre top-of-rack where you want centralized management of multiple line-cards (1/10/25/50/100 GbE) and chassis-level features like VSX, redundant fabrics and monitoring.
