Overview

The HPE 605865‑B21 is a blade‑server enclosure interconnect module designed for infrastructure engineers deploying high‑density virtualization and converged compute fabrics. It provides 24 ports in a single module, using FlexFabric technology to converge Ethernet and Fibre Channel over a 10Gb link, thereby reducing the number of network and SAN switches required. The module fits into the BLc7000 blade chassis series and supports adaptable downlink connections to blade server adapters as well as configurable uplinks to external LAN and SAN fabrics, streamlining server I/O architecture. It is deployed in blade‑server racks within data centres and cloud infrastructure, including enterprise virtualization platforms, where space, power, and cable complexity are key concerns. Integration with the Virtual Connect Manager enables “wire‑once” provisioning, so server moves, adds and changes can be managed without re‑cabling.
