This Virtual Connect Expansion Module offers up to 24 high‑density 16Gb Fibre Channel connections—typically 8 external and 16 internal—all supporting NPIV standards and integration with standard SAN infrastructure. It functions as an HBA visible to the SAN but is entirely managed via Virtual Connect Manager or HPE OneView, significantly reducing the SAN management domain and simplifying server swaps with no impact on SAN zoning or WWN consistency By decoupling server blades from the SAN topology, the P08475‑B21 delivers seamless scalability, rapid provisioning, and robust SAN performance without adding external SAN switches. It supports zoning and trunking and maintains full-duplex, high throughput fabric operations. It is backward‑compatible with earlier FC speeds (4/8Gb) and fully compliant with NPIV standards for interoperability across SAN environments
