Overview

The HPE 785338‑001 is a high‑density Fibre Channel switch module designed for use within the HPE Synergy / Virtual Connect SE chassis family in data‑centre storage fabrics. It delivers 16 Gb/s per port across up to 24 active Fibre Channel ports (via four quad SFP+ or equivalent zones), enabling large‑scale SAN connectivity for storage arrays, servers and backup systems. The module plugs into a chassis back‑plane and supports zoning, virtual machine awareness and SAN switching in converged infrastructure environments. The unit is intended for enterprise SAN deployments where blade‑based compute, converged infrastructure and simplified SAN topology are required.
