Overview :
The HP J9149A is a dual-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet CX4 expansion module designed for the HP ProCurve 2910al switch series. Intended for network engineers upgrading uplink capacity, it adds two fixed CX4 copper 10-GbE ports supporting IEEE 802.3ak (10GBASE-CX4). It enables 10 Gb/s full-duplex connectivity over CX4 copper up to approximately 15 m, fitting into enterprise network top-of-rack, campus core or data-center aggregation roles. The module slides into the al-module slot of compatible 2910al switches and presents plug-in simplicity. It supports full-duplex only and requires the host switch firmware version W.14.01 or later for full compatibility.
