Overview :

The HPE JL687A is a line‑module expansion card designed for use in the HPE/Aruba 8400 series chassis, used by network engineers to extend port density with high‑speed optics. It provides 32 ports that support 1G, 10G and 25G connectivity via SFP, SFP+ or SFP28 interfaces, enabling flexible upgrade paths and mixed‑speed deployments. The module targets campus core and data‑centre aggregation or leaf/spine deployments where high throughput and future‑proofing are required.
