Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10 Gb/24‑Port Expansion Module

The HP 571956‑B21 Virtual Connect FlexFabric Expansion Module is a managed network module engineered to deliver converged 10 Gb Ethernet and Fibre Channel (up to 8 Gb) connectivity inside HP blade enclosures. Designed for enterprise environments it enables a simplified, flexible, and efficient blade‑edge topology by reducing the need for separate SAN and LAN switching infrastructure.

Features

Installed in a c7000 or c3000 Enclosure, each module provides backplane connectivity to up to 16 server ports at 10 Gb Ethernet. Four SFP+ external uplinks support either 10 GbE or 8 Gb Fibre Channel, and an additional four external SFP+ slots deliver 10 Gb Ethernet.

Advanced Options

This architecture enables convergence of LAN and SAN traffic over a single module and reduces cabling complexity and hardware overhead. Virtual Connect Manager GUI or CLI offers centralized control and profile-based deployment of network configurations.

The MAC address table accommodates up to ~8K entries, and the module integrates Wake-on‑LAN functionality for streamlined server orchestration.
