Overview

The HPE Aruba R0X42C is a modular line card designed for the CX 6400 chassis. It provides 24 copper 10 GbBase-T (RJ45) ports plus 4 SFP56 ports for high-speed fiber (up to 50 Gb on SFP56 when supported in firmware).This module is ideal for scenarios where you need a mix of high-speed 10G copper for access uplinks, combined with fiber uplinks for aggregation or spine links. It fits into the CX 6400 chassis, enabling a scalable architecture with VSX active-active capabilities, advanced Layer-3 routing, MACsec encryption, and telemetry via Aruba AOS-CX.Its Gen-7 ASIC architecture enables non-blocking switching, and because it's part of the modular 6400 series, it benefits from redundant power supply infrastructure and shared system resources. This card is well suited for enterprise campus distribution or small data-center aggregation.
