NETGEAR M4300-28G GSM4328S-100NES - 24-Port Gigabit Stackable Managed Switch with 10G Uplinks
Overview
The NETGEAR M4300 GSM4328S-100NES is a 24-port Gigabit stackable managed switch designed for enterprise edge deployments requiring Layer 3 routing and 10G uplink capacity. It delivers 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports for endpoint connectivity, two independent 10GBASE-T copper uplinks, and two 10G SFP+ fiber uplinks for high-bandwidth aggregation to core infrastructure. This switch supports virtual chassis stacking of up to 8 units with nonstop forwarding and hitless management failover for uninterrupted network operations during primary unit failures. Built on NETGEAR's full Layer 3 platform with OSPF, RIP, VRRP, and PIM multicast routing, the M4300-28G handles collapsed core branch offices, IDF closets, or midsize server rooms requiring comprehensive routing without per-feature licensing costs.
Key Features
- 128 Gbps switching fabric with 16MB packet buffer handles line-rate forwarding across all 28 ports simultaneously
- Virtual chassis stacking up to 8 units with hitless failover ensures backup management unit takes over without dropping active sessions
- Four independent 10G uplinks combine copper 10GBASE-T and SFP+ fiber for flexible aggregation to core or inter-switch stacking
- Full Layer 3 routing with OSPF, VRRP, and PIM multicast eliminates separate router requirements in branch office deployments
