Overview :

The INTELLINET 508834 is an industrial 8-port gigabit Ethernet layer 2+ web-managed switch featuring 2 SFP fiber slots, engineered for harsh environments and mission-critical edge deployments.It is utilized by network infrastructure engineers and industrial automation teams to provide reliable data connectivity in unconditioned spaces subject to wide temperature fluctuations and mechanical stress. The unit solves the challenge of maintaining robust local network routing and fiber uplinks outside of climate-controlled server rooms.

Technically, the switch delivers a 20 Gbps switching fabric capacity with support for VLANs, QoS, SNMP, and link aggregation.It operates on redundant DC power inputs ranging from 44V to 57V DC and incorporates 6 kV port surge protection.

Deployment is optimized for DIN-rail mounting inside industrial enclosures, automation cabinets, and remote surveillance junction boxes.Compatibility spans standard copper CAT5e/6 cabling and MSA-compliant 1G SFP fiber transceivers. However, this switch is designed for industrial edge infrastructure and is not optimized for standard 19-inch enterprise rack deployment without appropriate rail adapters.
