This cloud-managed hardware platform simplifies deployment operations by shifting system control to a unified central interface, eliminating on-switch manual line terminal configurations. It establishes rapid operational readiness for commercial spaces deploying advanced Wi-Fi 6E/7 access points, IP surveillance networks, and high-draw IoT hardware endpoints.

The physical architecture features a 12-port multi-gigabit access configuration divided across two distinct hardware-based PoE delivery tiers. It integrates 4 multi-gigabit access ports scaling from 1G to 5GBase-T with IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 PoE++ capabilities supplying up to 90W per interface, paired alongside 8 standard 10/100/1000Base-T ports providing up to 30W of 802.3at PoE+ power. For high-speed upstream connectivity and local hardware scaling, the front panel features 4 unpopulated 1/10Gb SFP+ slot interfaces that double as native stacking ports when operating under the standard Switch Engine operating model.

Designed for automated network environments, the switch natively interfaces with ExtremeCloud IQ or ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine, enabling zero-touch edge provisioning, real-time switch health telemetry, and automatic cloud configuration recovery. For specialized architectural placement, the compact half-depth chassis natively supports table-mounting, wall-mounting, and standard rack integration, including an automated silent mode operation that stops active fan rotation at ambient temperatures up to 35°C. Avoid utilizing this system in core multi-path backbone networks running Fabric Engine where native stacking functions are inactive, or in routing setups requiring deep Layer 3 dynamic protocols.
