The HPE JL310A is a high-performance QSFP28 transceiver module designed for Aruba X151 switches, supporting 100 Gigabit Ethernet speeds over single-mode fiber. It delivers reliable long-distance data transmission up to 10 kilometers, ideal for enterprise and data center networks requiring high bandwidth and low latency. This JL310A transceiver operates according to IEEE 802.3 100GBASE-LR4 standards, enabling 100Gbps Ethernet connections through quad 25Gbps lanes using pulse amplitude modulation (PAM4) technology.

The module utilizes coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) to transmit data over four separate wavelengths, maximizing fiber efficiency and signal integrity. The LC Duplex connector interface ensures compatibility with standard single-mode fiber patch cables. Designed for extended reach, the transceiver supports up to 10 kilometers of transmission, making it suitable for inter-building or intra-campus connections in enterprise and data center environments. It features integrated Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) for real-time reporting of operating parameters such as temperature, voltage, and optical power, simplifying network maintenance and troubleshooting.
