The HPE E7Y73A model of the StoreFabric SN4000B is a data-centre grade SAN extension switch designed for enterprise storage teams who manage Fibre Channel and Ethernet extension across sites and need sustained high throughput with low latency. It supports a mix of Fibre Channel, 1/10 GbE and 40 GbE interfaces and is engineered to link SAN fabrics across metro or WAN distances for backup, replication or migration usage. The chassis fits in a standard 19-inch rack and uses redundant hot-swappable power supplies and back-to-front airflow to suit dense data-centre racks. It is suited for centralised storage networks, disaster-recovery setups, and multi-site replication environments, and integrates with HPE’s Fabric OS and SAN Network Advisor tools for unified SAN management.
