Overview

The HPE R3B05A is a 1U rack‑mount Ethernet switch offering 32 QSFP28 ports capable of 100 Gb/s each, ideal for modern data‑centre leaf/spine, storage fabric or compute‑cluster environments. It provides full‑line‑rate forwarding across all ports with non‑blocking architecture and supports flexible port speeds including 100GbE, 50GbE, 40GbE or multiple 25/10GbE via breakout on each QSFP28, enabling future‑proof network expansion. The unit is optimized for high‑density, low‑latency environments, supporting large east‑west traffic flows typical of cloud‑scale, HPC or storage‑rich infrastructures. With open‑networking support through ONIE and optional Onyx OS, it integrates into both traditional and disaggregated network fabrics.
