The HPE JG336 switch is a Layer 3 managed rack‑mount network switch designed for data centre and high‑density server‑access deployments, used by network engineers and IT infrastructure teams to aggregate high‑speed traffic and streamline connectivity. It provides 48 RJ‑45 ports supporting 1/10 GbE and four QSFP+ ports supporting 40 GbE uplinks, enabling consolidation of server‑farm traffic or aggregation of 10 Gb links into 40 Gb uplinks. The device is built for the access or top‑of‑rack layer in data centres or campus aggregation sites and supports high throughput and advanced routing/switching features. It integrates into the HPE FlexFabric or FlexNetwork architecture and can be managed alongside other HPE network elements under standard network management platforms.
