The HP JG236A is a managed Layer‑3 Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for IT infrastructure teams deploying access‑layer PoE+ connectivity. It provides 24 autosensing 10/100/1000 BASE‑T ports plus four dual‑personality ports (10/100/1000‑BASE‑T or SFP) and supports static IPv4/IPv6 routing, meeting both switching and routing needs. The unit includes two interface‑slot expansion bays for future 10 GbE uplinks or additional modules. It is targeted for enterprise campus edge or branch deployments where power‑over‑Ethernet is required (e.g., VoIP, access points, IP cameras) and integrates into campus aggregation or small data‑centre access layers.
