Detailed Specifications
HPE Aruba CX 9300S S0F87A - 32 × 100G + 8 × 400G High-Density Switch
Overview
The HPE S0F87A is a high-performance fixed switch from the Aruba CX 9300S series, built for modern data center fabrics. It provides 32 QSFP28 ports running at 100 Gb and 8 QSFP-DD ports capable of 400 Gb, making it ideal for spine or leaf deployment in high-density environments. With back-to-front airflow via six fans and dual DC power supplies, it suits racks designed for cold-aisle/hot-aisle data center architectures. This switch supports full Layer-3 capabilities × including static routing, OSPF, BGP, ECMP, and EVPN-VXLAN × helping enterprises scale pods of servers or storage nodes efficiently and reliably.
Key Features
32 × 100 Gb (QSFP28) + 8 × 400 Gb (QSFP-DD): Provides ultra-high bandwidth for server and storage fabrics.
25.6 Tbps switching capacity: Handles line-rate traffic even under heavy aggregation.
Back-to-front cooling: Six fan trays ensure efficient airflow in dense rack environments.
Dual DC power supplies: Redundant power for high availability (-40 V to -75 V DC).
Advanced Layer-3: Supports OSPF, BGP, static routing, EVPN-VXLAN, ECMP, and policy-based routing.
Breakout flexibility: 400 Gb ports can be broken out to 4×100 Gb, 2×200 Gb, or 1×400 Gb for flexible deployment.
