TRENDnet TPE-TG83 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch
Overview :
The TRENDnet TPE-TG83 is an unmanaged 8-port Gigabit PoE+ switch designed to serve as a reliable and cost-effective network core for small to medium-sized businesses. It addresses the need to deliver both power and data over a single Ethernet cable, simplifying the deployment of devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points in environments where power outlets are scarce. This switch is ideal for edge network installations requiring dependable connectivity without the complexity of a managed solution. Engineered for efficiency, the TPE-TG83 provides a total PoE power budget of 65W, capable of supplying up to 30W per port to compliant devices. Its 16Gbps switching capacity ensures smooth, non-blocking data flow across all ports, preventing bottlenecks even under heavy traffic loads from high-resolution cameras or extensive data transfers. The inclusion of IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS) pass-through support prioritizes traffic, ensuring that real-time applications like voice and video operate without interruption. With its compact, fanless metal housing, the device is built for silent operation and flexible placement. Its plug-and-play design requires no configuration, making it easy to integrate into any existing network infrastructure. The unit can be placed on a desktop or mounted on a wall, offering a versatile physical deployment solution for offices, retail locations, or any space-constrained environment where reliable PoE+ connectivity is essential.
