Detailed Specifications
TRENDnet TI-PG80B Hardened Industrial 8-Port PoE+ Switch
Overview :
The TRENDnet TI-PG80B is a hardened, unmanaged Gigabit PoE+ switch engineered for reliable network performance in harsh industrial environments. It serves as a robust solution for connecting and powering devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP hardware in locations subject to extreme temperatures and physical stress, like manufacturing floors, warehouses, and outdoor enclosures. This switch addresses the critical need for dependable connectivity where standard commercial networking hardware would fail. At its core, the TI-PG80B features eight Gigabit PoE+ ports, capable of delivering high-speed data and power over a single Ethernet cable. It supports a variable PoE power budget that scales up to 200W with a 48V DC power supply, providing up to 30W per port to accommodate power-hungry devices. Housed in a rugged IP30-rated metal enclosure, the unit is designed to withstand significant vibration and shock while operating across a wide temperature spectrum from -40° to 75° C (-40° to 167° F), ensuring consistent operation in challenging conditions. Designed for straightforward implementation, this switch features a DIN-rail and wall mount kit for flexible installation in industrial control panels and enclosures. As an unmanaged device, it offers plug-and-play simplicity, eliminating the need for complex configuration. The inclusion of dual redundant 24 - 56V DC power inputs with overload current protection provides an essential layer of fault tolerance, ensuring continuous operation and network uptime if one power source fails.
