Eaton SU2000LCD1U – 2000VA/1600W Online Double-Conversion UPS

Overview

The Eaton SU2000LCD1U is a 1U rackmount online (double-conversion) UPS designed to deliver continuous, conditioned AC power for critical IT, networking, and telecom equipment operating in 120 V single-phase environments. It is deployed by infrastructure engineers in environments where zero transfer time is required to eliminate risk from outages, voltage instability, and frequency variation. The double-conversion topology continuously regenerates output power, isolating connected loads from upstream disturbances.

This unit provides 2000 VA / 1600 W capacity with a true sine-wave output and ±3% voltage regulation, supporting servers, switches, storage, and edge compute appliances. It uses five NEMA 5-20R outlets arranged in two switchable load banks, allowing controlled load shedding or remote reboot of non-critical devices.

The SU2000LCD1U is built for high-density rack environments, occupying 1U of rack space in standard 19″ EIA racks. Its shallow vertical height combined with extended chassis depth makes it suitable for IDF/MDF racks, colocation cabinets, and edge deployments where vertical rack space is constrained but runtime and power capacity must be maintained.

Integration includes USB, RS-232, EPO/ROO, and a WEBCARDLXE network management slot for SNMP/Web monitoring and automated shutdown. The front LCD provides real-time operational visibility (load, battery, input/output conditions), enabling efficient commissioning and fault diagnosis.

In deployment, this model is used to provide short-duration runtime (~3 min full load, ~10 min half load) to bridge generator startup or execute controlled shutdown procedures. It does not support external battery modules, making it unsuitable for extended runtime requirements or sites needing scalable backup duration.
