Overview :

The APC SRT1000XLA is a double-conversion online uninterruptible power supply designed to provide continuous conditioned power to critical IT equipment operating in a 120V electrical environment. It is typically deployed by network engineers and infrastructure teams responsible for maintaining uptime for servers, storage appliances, and network switching equipment in server rooms, edge compute cabinets, and network closets. The UPS isolates connected loads from power disturbances while providing battery runtime during utility outages.

The system provides 1000VA / 900W output capacity using a double-conversion topology that continuously converts incoming AC power to DC and back to AC. This architecture ensures zero transfer time during outages and produces a regulated sine-wave output suitable for sensitive IT equipment with active power factor correction power supplies. Input power is supplied through a NEMA 5-15P connector, and the UPS distributes protected power through six NEMA 5-15R outlets.

Within infrastructure deployments, the UPS is commonly installed in branch server rooms, IDF closets, and small edge infrastructure cabinets where 120V rack power distribution is standard. Although designed primarily as a tower UPS, the chassis is rack-mountable and occupies 2U when installed in a rack using compatible rail kits, allowing integration into standard 19-inch rack environments alongside servers, switches, and storage appliances.

This UPS should not be deployed in environments requiring 208V or higher-voltage rack power distribution or installations using L6-series connectors common in data center power ecosystems.
