Detailed Specifications
Eaton P580-006 - DisplayPort Cable 4K 60 Hz M/M
Overview
The Eaton P580-006 is a passive DisplayPort video/audio cable with latching male-to-male connectors designed to connect DisplayPort-capable sources (PCs, graphics cards, media players) to DisplayPort displays and monitors. It is deployed by AV engineers and IT infrastructure teams to ensure secure, high-definition digital video transmission in both workstation and digital signage installations.
This cable supports the DisplayPort 1.2 standard, enabling Ultra High Definition (UHD) 3840 × 2160 @ 60 Hz video as well as standard 1080p and legacy resolutions with integrated digital audio. The passive design means no signal conditioning or active amplification is present × it strictly conducts DisplayPort signals end-to-end.
The latching connector mechanism helps prevent inadvertent disconnection in structured AV racks, media cabinets, and workstation environments. The cable's 6 ft (1.83 m) length is suitable for typical rack or desktop routing without excess slack that could obstruct airflow or complicate cable management.
Physically configured with a PVC jacket and gold-plated contacts, this cable is intended for indoor use in controlled environments × offices, technical workspaces, AV racks, and classroom media installs. The black OCT-rated jacket fits standard cable management pathways in 19-inch racks and AV conduits.
A practical deployment scenario includes connecting a DisplayPort output on a desktop workstation to a DisplayPort input on a high-resolution monitor in a meeting room or control room display wall. This model is not suitable where extended distances beyond 6 ft are required without active signal conditioning or where unshielded runs pass through industrial EMI environments.
