Extreme Networks 10G-DACA-SFP3M – 10G SFP+ DAC Cable

Overview :

The 10G-DACA-SFP3M is an active 10Gbps SFP+ Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cable from Extreme Networks, designed for short-distance high-speed Ethernet connectivity inside racks and adjacent network equipment.

It provides a 3-meter (3m) SFP+ to SFP+ twinax copper link, used primarily between:

  • Switch-to-switch connections
  • Switch-to-server links
  • Top-of-rack (ToR) data center interconnects

This cable is commonly deployed in data centers and enterprise racks where optical transceivers are not required due to short reach and cost optimization.

It is NOT suitable for:

  • Long-distance runs (>10m)
  • Campus backbone fiber links
  • Outdoor or structured cabling beyond rack level
